Logan Emergency Update
His surgery went well except that they found some malignant cancer cells. They referred us to an oncologist on Monday but he felt that he did not have the right type of equipment to treat Logan and he warned us that radiation may leave him blind in one eye and have a very negative effect on his brain cells which could in turn cause seizures. He referred us to another practice in San Diego that may be able to help him. The doctor that we saw on Monday, (Dr. Ayl at the Tumor Medical Center in Sherman Oaks) felt that we may have the option of waiting to see the re-growth to know about what time frame that we have with him and I am more in favor of that approach but I also agree with Katie that having a consultation with the doctor in San Diego just may give us more information to be able to make a better decision.

Here is Master Logan ... Photos taken by Katie and Tina on 2-13-06, in front of the doctor's office. Logan looks more like a Collie with his head shaved from surgery but we think he looks GREAT!

It's amazing what can be accomplished when people work to save a dog. Thank you to everyone of every breed who donated funds for Logan. Check out the original, pre-surgery photos; look at his eye which blocked his sight. Now, look at Logan's very normal brown eye. Thank you.

Logan
Logan is a wonderful Alaskan Malamute in desperate need of help. He has a very large, benign tumor on his head. Even though this tumor is benign, it has the potential to cause a great deal of damage to his bones and sinus cavity, if not removed soon. In order to insure that Logan can have his surgery as soon as possible, we need your help in raising funds. As you can imagine, he will have many medical expenses, including blood work, x-rays, surgery, hospital stays, vet visits, etc.
Please help us in any way you can, so that we may give this wonderful malamute the quality of life that he deserves. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
